Give Back Cincinnati was founded to connect local young professionals to build our local community and develop active citizen leaders in Cincinnati. Since the group’s inception in 2000, Give Back Cincinnati has dedicated over 40,000 hours of community service to the Cincinnati community.
Our Guiding Principles are:
“Guilt-free” – Give Back Cincinnati does not pressure or “guilt” people in to service. Members are encouraged to participate at the level that you feel comfortable. You are not required to participate in a minimum number of events to retain their membership status nor is there a membership fee or required donation.
100% Volunteer Leadership – Give Back Cincinnati practices what it preaches. It is a 100% volunteer led organization that relies on its own best efforts to continually grow committed leaders willing to carry on the Give Back Cincinnati tradition.
Social Volunteering – Give Back Cincinnati believes that building social connections is critical to fostering civic engagement. Give Back Cincinnati aims to nurture the social element of its service and civic engagement activities through informal networking during events and social outings held after service events…we like to have fun.
“Turn Key” Service Experiences– Give Back Cincinnati strives to reduce the barriers to service and civic engagement so that its members can easily and frequently engage in their community.
Diversity – Give Back Cincinnati believes that an authentically diverse membership and leadership groups will create important benefits for Give Back Cincinnati, its members and the community.
Responsive to Community Need – Give Back Cincinnati is committed to improving the Greater Cincinnati community and in doing so aims to respond to authentic needs in the community.·
Partnership – Give Back Cincinnati relies on a partnership model. It does not seek to play all roles required to provide quality service experiences but instead utilizes community, marketing and vendor/sponsorship partners whenever possible.
